You are right by saying that people should get the education starting from the beginning i mean as they are young because if you start to educate them when they already have they own habits results harder from them to capture what are you trying to explain them.
Thats why nutritionists should establish a law that involves health and nutrition knowledge in all schools starting eductaion in kindergarden.
But we must work together with the authorities to establish food education to control overweight and underweight.

You’re so right Kevin, education DOES make a difference.

I think undernutrition and overnutritrion can be controled with education. But in order to give people a good source of information we have to search a lot of things. Nutritionists should establish a law that involves health and nutrition knowledge in all schools starting eductaion in kindergarden. The first topic might be the food pyramid teaching kids what they can eat in each meal.
And with people that do not have resources to assist to school there should be created freeware programs about foods that are beneficial to health and the risk that bad food has.
It could be a difficult way but also could be achieved if goverments try.
5 enero, 2013 at 12:44 PM
I think you touch a good point, because if the goverments establish a law that involves health and nutrition knowledge in all the schools, this problem will be controled, as we know all starts with children at early stages of life, because they learn easily, absorbs the knowledge about how to eat well, feed with responsability and a lot of things that make them better person. so If we want to control these problem we should think in this, I totally agree with you
6 enero, 2013 at 9:20 PM
Great and wonderful idea!!! Learning eating habits at school could make text books into real life practice!!!
4 enero, 2013 at 4:40 PM
Well in my opinion, I think that it can be done. First if the goverments around the world emphasize that the way that we consume food is important to grow and to be healthy, people will increase their interest in eat healthy food. Of course is a step by step process that we all have to learn. I think that if they start by teaching parents to be that there are different ways to feed their kids, and that it does not involve high amounts of money, I´m pretty sure that it will make a big change.
5 enero, 2013 at 5:59 PM
Julia i think you have all the reason with the participation of the goverments because we need help with the money for try to englob all the people like chilgren, parents, school and others entities for the education with de topic good feeding.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:30 PM
In the meantime let’s do it with our own families and with our own budget!!!
6 enero, 2013 at 9:26 PM
Yes, parents must know that we have a big responsibility in our hands and that sound eating habits may seem hard at first. But in the long run in’s just a lot easier for everyone.
7 enero, 2013 at 2:53 PM
I think that good nutrition is a personal need and that each person must be responsible for their own health and that of his family only governments should promote education and good habits but if everyone should be responsible for proper nutrition

Kenia ALessandra Burgos Urias Says:
The word diet makes many people fail in their attempt to lose weight, even before you start, as they believe they will be limited, they will be hungry and will be terrible. But this is not so, no one should go hungry and stop eating, you just have to take into account quality and quantity.
The amount is important because we are generally accustomed to eating more than our body needs.
One of the most difficult tasks is to think about the quality of food you choose when preparing your meals. In this case it will be necessary to limit carbohydrates, fats and sugary foods.
Think that vegetables are always welcome. Fruits and vegetables in their natural state are perfect allies when planning your menu. You can even replace the donuts in the afternoon or snacks packed by a tasty apple, a banana, the fruit that you prefer or, why not, some dried fruit.

If all parents were informed that rates of malnutrition and obesity would fall, this refers to the question whether it can treat education, informing all about so that you have answered.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:34 PM
In fact, some parents dont’t want to hear about it!!! It´s sad but true!
7 enero, 2013 at 8:47 PM
if it is sad but with the new generation that is, you can change that, if it cost a bit, but if they are taught from an early age in school when we would be great as a country preventing many diseases
6 enero, 2013 at 8:39 PM
you got all the reason, when people want to diet, their first thought is to do it if not make it … your first thought is to do this if I will always have a desire to eat … and I think if people had the necessary instructions and adequate knowledge of how to diet and steady it would have less obesity rates in the country
6 enero, 2013 at 9:41 PM
Step by step we must learn and interpret body cues!!
6 enero, 2013 at 9:27 PM
And we all enjoy por meal and live happily and healthfully ever after!!!
5 enero, 2013 at 12:37 PM
I think the bottom line is education, without education we are lost in many aspects of life, in this case these two problems can be corrected with simple food education, enables people to observe good eating habits accompanied by hygiene, relaxation and sporting activities. We need to change food habits and replacing harmful by other healthy ones, and we can do through education. Today several countries in Latin America are undergoing a transition from undernutrition to overnutrition. the problem of malnutrition is also important to approach it from the early stages of life of babies, and that problems of malnutrition, obesity and micronutrient deficiencies can be treated from good nutrition in early childhood, this means that everything starts with the kid in kindergarten
Similarly it is «important for children to have healthy eating habits and not fall into a sedentary lifestyle to prevent obesity and overweight problems.» Recent studies show that there is a relationship between nutrition of babies in their early stages of life and its problems of overweight and obesity in the future. A high intake of protein during the first year of life, especially during the first six months, promotes obesity » another positive aspect is that the minds of children has a knack for changing bad habits with good ones. Because of the massive publicity, today’s children suffer increasingly early overweight, obesity, diabetes, cancer, cholesterol, tooth decay, constipation and allergies, as well as individualism, consumerism and sedentary, being candidates for an adult life filled with disease . With a responsible feeding, children grow up healthier and be better people.
The school is a special place for children to learn to enjoy eating responsibly, so they need rigorous content, atracctive methods and continuous, with the cooperation of families, teachers and especially the GOVERNMENT.
6 enero, 2013 at 5:06 PM
Samanta I totally agree with your opinion. The key is that, teaching good habits, starting with little kids, giving them tools to grow with the correct way of eating. This is a team work, because it is not enought that schools teach better habits if at home kids eat what ever they want, and goverment need to readecuate tv programation. Reeducate people is what is important.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:40 PM
Let´s start with ourselves!!!
5 enero, 2013 at 5:54 PM
Is important change many bads habits that affects all the people, for that reason is important start with EDUCATION because is the best tool that we can use for change the problems of undernutrition and overnutrition in the country and in the world.
But we live in a world that are «consume» we are borbarding for advertising all day in t.v., streets, supermarker and mall; and there not are control for that kind of things. The childrens could be the principal actors with the education, because they learn so easy and faster that an adult, the parents could be a good choise to because they chosen the food in the supermarker and the habits in so many cases could be learned in the family.
Also can be good habits of feeding and excersice fit works hand to hand for promote a better life for the people always with a good education first.
6 enero, 2013 at 12:52 AM
I share your opinion we live in a world that does not watch your diet, your body is not prepared to ingerrir many foods. Experts say that nutrition is one of the main determinants of health, physical and mental performance and productivity in life, in fact, early malnutrition has adverse effects throughout life as the increase risk of noncommunicable diseases and reduced work capacity and intellectual performance. Poor nutrition may be reflected in malnutrition and obesity.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:32 PM
It should be natural to eat nice healthy nutritious food.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:29 PM
You’re right!!! Education must be practiced in a day to day basis!!!

6 enero, 2013 at 12:37 AM
6 enero, 2013 at 9:30 PM
Yes, everyone should get involved in this process!!!
6 enero, 2013 at 12:40 AM
I think that all education begins at home, if I believe that education can help control obesity and malnutrition, as long as the family is informed about healthy eating, hence start all habits, we can also go to nutritionists because eventually everything is updated and we need more reliable guidance specialists. I think the government has to do their part, in schools and indoctrinating, you good eating habits.
6 enero, 2013 at 11:07 AM
I’m agree with you all must have a sound education and that starts in our home and for parents to teach children about healthy eating and I think parents should seek information about nutrition to keep their children healthy.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:37 PM
You’re right!!!
6 enero, 2013 at 3:44 PM
I agree with you, the family is the first factor of education that goes with food, because home is where the child knows how to eat healthily or not. But in cases of undernutrition or overnutrition should be treated with a dietitian, helping the patient about what exactly you need in your feeding, is a long process but if we all try to help others to eat correctly and healthy there would be fewer cases of undernutrition and overfeeding in humans.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:39 PM
I totally agree with you!!!
6 enero, 2013 at 9:09 PM
if yotambien’m very agree with you because all education begins at home as well with eating habits and learn to control us know
6 enero, 2013 at 9:42 PM
Mind over matter!!!
6 enero, 2013 at 9:31 PM
English should be practiced also!!!
6 enero, 2013 at 9:53 AM
Jenniffer Aguiluz Alvarado
I think if you can deal with education, but education starts at home, but it just depends on the parents, also depends on the government, the government should implement programs in schools on how to have good eating habits and not fall into obesity or malnutrition. It also depends on the education of the father, in the way they feed their child, we had to educate parents as well as children so that parents have good eating habits.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:33 PM
So educated parents should break the obesity/undernutrition vicious circle!!!
7 enero, 2013 at 5:37 PM
karen garcia
I agree with you jenny as you say government help is needed to implement feeding programs in schools and also has much to do with education parents about what it is to have good eating habits and that education that children receive
6 enero, 2013 at 11:02 AM
I think if you can handle with education because people suffered so that’s about the lack of information that’s missing is that talks are to become more informed on the subject. To give parents a little awareness of what they do and what they can cause their children. And also that children in schools were to be provided the subject of nutrition since they are in kindergarten.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:36 PM
We need information but most of all motivation and that comes from within!!! we need as nutritionists, to discover it deep in everyone and then it will flourish with the right environment!!!
6 enero, 2013 at 3:33 PM
In my opinion, the undernutrition and overnutrition if they are problems that can be reached in relation to education, and education I mean them self, because this is the one that teaches us to try to be «right people» so if we combine undernutrition and overnutrition with education can be called also a way of «eating right» and live healthily.
This depends on the individual if they want get out of these problems, (is not easy for most) they needed above all the acceptance, family support, and the help of one especialiesta in nutrition because it is a long process, but more than education is the practiced and wanting to have a healthy life.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:38 PM
Good, with correct coaching we can achieve a healthy lifestyle!!
6 enero, 2013 at 8:19 PM
course is an education in the diet, that is to say that you give the calories and minerals that the body needs for normal development.
as future nutritionists must give or tell you about what people should eat his body, to stay and not go into decompensation, also make people aware of the type of power that could create them obese
6 enero, 2013 at 9:40 PM
and the terrible obesity consequences!!!
7 enero, 2013 at 11:36 AM
I think «You are what you eat»
6 enero, 2013 at 9:04 PM
I think if because education is a very important factor in people who have both good nutrition and the education so that they can give you foulbrood do know if this good or bad about their food. And as if the people are well educated and know how to control their food with would have no problem with being obese and would sanmente.
6 enero, 2013 at 9:42 PM
And have a «happy weight»
7 enero, 2013 at 11:39 AM
I think the nutrition is essential at every stage of life to keeping our bodies running at their best. as we age, our nutrient needs change with our bodies to be fit and healthy.
7 enero, 2013 at 2:44 PM
natalia stephanie pacheco says :
education is the foundation of proper nutrition and should comensar at home, for the family as the basis of society is the one who gives us guidelines for our social behavior and between eating habits for healthy eating is not fought with the economy, so it is only breaking paradigms and leave one side excuses
7 enero, 2013 at 5:27 PM
karen garcia
Clearly, if you can because if you educate the children from small not have problems of undernutrition and overweight, would know that being able to get a good diet eat everything, but before you start with children should educate parents that they are responsible for feeding their children and to greater effect would be good in every school there is a feeding program for students}
7 enero, 2013 at 10:44 PM
I think everything depends on education, because one acquires knowledge that we get in the house, we realize the importance or significance of certain foods in our body what we do well and what does not.
And basically malnutrition occurs in people with low incomes, and also I think it’s difficult because most of the people who are malnourished are poor, which is not enough to be aware of that.
And those people that are with overnutrition with very little resources and knowledge that could feed on the best way, but sometimes people are more comfortable feeding engaged with fast food
